Sammi attended Metro 997 Hit Awards press conference. During the conference, Sammi was talking to Nicholas Tse for the whole time. Sammi and Andy didn't talk at all, when they pass each other, they only nod their heads. When the reporters told Andy that a philosopher said Sammi will retire soon, he said that's not his business, he don't care. Sammi also showed concern about the news that says Eason criticize the four heavenly king. Sammi believe Eason is not those kind of people. Eason is just those people who say things fast, he don't really mean that way.

A Hong Kong philosopher predicted Sammi will be very popular between the year 1998 to 2003. After that, she will think of retiring. Sammi said she did considering retire when she turn 30 years old. But she don't think it's going to work now, because she still had the contract with Warner. Sammi said she needs to work few more years. Sammi said being a singer is just a profession. If she retired, she will be back herself again. Sammi also said her love relationship is not complicated at all, is just the reporters created to seem so complex.

Sammi will film another new movie next year on January. The movie is called "Sex and the City", it is a complete new role for Sammi. Sammi said there is a limit to the sex, it is not those porn movie. She is not that brave to show too much skins for sex scenes. The movie story is very interesting and it's kind of funny too, it will have some comedy feels. They are still choosing the actor, it might be Nicholas Tse.  About the director, Kwan jing pang wanted Sammi to cast in his new movie which contain sex scenes. Sammi said when she hear the name of the director, she already wanted to work with him. But if requires her to take off all her clothes, that's impossible. She can only accept showing her shoulders and in the idea is related to sex but not in real action. Sammi realized she become very interested in movies right now, but she will not give up singing. Also, when reporters told Sammi that Edison Chen said she is cute. Sammi said she didn't pay attention to that problem, she only care about her works. Sammi also said everyone can be cute and can be bad, it is not that special to be cute, she is just a normal person.

Sammi attended Aaron Kwok's Friendly Music Concert yesterday, because Sammi was the special guest. Sammi sang the song "Love above the line" with Aaron. Sammi also sang her new song "Exchange Gentle" and "Forever Beauty". Gigi Leung was also the guest for the concert since she's in the same company as Aaron and Sammi.

In the 1st Golden Melody Award Ceremony held in Malaysia yesterday. Sammi received the "Most popular female singer" award, "Best top ten song-Forever Beauty" award, and the "Most favorite duet song-Love is....." award with LMF. About the news that Edison Chen said he don't like his female idol anymore, because she is not that good and she is a whole different person than what he think she is. Reporters all predicted that is Sammi. When asked Sammi about it, Sammi seems to be unhappy over it, she said she had no interest of that news. Today, Edison appear in the public and reply to this news in a serious mood. He said the female idol he's talking about definitely is not Sammi. He still likes Sammi. He think Sammi is very good in acting. Even through they never talk before, but he thinks Sammi is very cute. He also said, if next time he sees Sammi, he will explain to Sammi the female idol he don't like is not her.

Yesterday, Sammi attended her new MTV "Exchange Gentle" premier press conference. Sammi is promoting her new song and also at the same time promoting Max Factor's lipsticks. In the MTV, there are a lot of scenes that shows Sammi's lip. The MTV received Max Factor sponsor on make-ups and they supported the production. The produce fees and promotion fees are up to $500 thousands. Later on, Sammi will shoot a commercial for Max Factor. When asked Sammi do she think her lip is sexy, Sammi said don't know, she think is ok. Sammi likes thick lips, she think Shu Qi's lip is very special and has style. At night, Sammi and Richie Ren need to continue shooting their new movie "Married to a rich person". Yesterday is filming the ending scene. 

Sammi and Andy Hui both attended an Anti-drugs Show yesterday. In the afternoon, it was the rehearsal. All the singers participate in the show recorded a song that they sing together. During the rehearsal, Sammi and Andy always keep a distance between each other. After finish recording the song, reporters ask Sammi and Andy to take pictures together. Sammi said sure, but she don't want to seem so intended, because then reporters will write some fake news again. Sammi told the reporters to remember is they requested the picture not She wanted to. After taking pictures, Andy and Sammi are talking to each other. When asked Andy what they are talking about, he said nothing important. Reporters also asked Sammi about the movie "Out of track women" by director Kwan jing pang, Sammi said nothing had been confirm yet. She said she like to try shooting this kind of movie because she shoot too many comedies already. Sammi said she can only accept the idea is sexy related, but she can't accept in action related to sexy. 

Anita Mui will release an new album next year on January for celebrating her 20 years in singing. She announced in the album she will sing duets with 12 top singers, it includes Sammi. Anita said she is happy Sammi agree to sing with her, because they only work together in movie and they never work together in music. But now, Anita feels happy that she finally had a chance to sing a duet with Sammi. Other singers that will sing duets with Anita includes Andy Lau (of course!), Faye Wong, Jacky Cheung, Allan Tam, Kelly Chen, Andy Hui, William So, Leslie Cheung and Anthony Wong, there are two other singers will keep in secret right now.

At the open shooting ceremony of the new movie "Married to a rich person", reporters asked Sammi how she feel about now being the "top one actress" and about her price for a movie. Sammi said, a lot of people act better than her, she think it is just a coincident that she get a very good result on movies and she will not talk about her price. Ritchie Ren give a lot of praises to Sammi, he said Sammi is very serious on her works, he learn a lot from her and they always exchange ideas about movies. He feels very comfortable of working with Sammi. When reporters ask did he have a lot of pressure of working with the "number one actress"(Sammi), he said if he be scare then he won't do good, and he said Sammi is very good in singing and acting. He told the reporters not to talk about Sammi's rumors all the time, because Sammi will be unhappy. In this movie "Married to a rich person" it is about Sammi make a wish, which is to get marry to a rich guy, then she went to Europe and start travel around searching for a rich guy. In there, she will meet Richie and they will spend a romantic vacation in Europe. The director of the movie said this is a clean love story and a comedy, he don't need too many minor actors/actress in it. This movie should be finish shooting before January. About the movie "Out of track women" by Kwan jing pang, Sammi said it is still in the process of talking about it, but she know she is not going into the sexy role. Want to know why Sammi cut her hair? Sammi said there are 2 reasons, one is because her image as a girl who deliver gas tank in the new movie. Second it's because her upcoming album image. Sammi planed to have a concert in the U.S. next year, she said she is not worry about the attack on the planes, her manager will be planning on it. 

The famous director, Kwan jing pang, which had 10 nomination in the Golden Horse Award invited Sammi to cast in his new movie "Out of track women" along with the other two famous stars, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Michelle Lee kar yen. The movie is about two married women love the same guy and it will involve with some intimate scenes. Sammi's manager did have contact with the director. He said Sammi will be happy to work with Kwan jing pang. But right now, he is not sure if Sammi have free time. Besides, because this movie involved women's intimate stories, he don't know if Sammi can accept it, since Sammi is conservative about those relationship. So far, nothing had been confirm yet. Yesterday, Sammi was shooting her new MTV overnight until this morning at 6 a.m. it's done. At the place that Sammi shoot her MTV, Anita Mui is also there shooting her new movie. There are rumors saying that originally Andy Lau contact Sammi to cast in his new movie, but since Sammi's price for a movie is too high (450 thousands). Andy had to change his mind and he pick Anita Mui to replace Sammi. When Anita Mui and Sammi saw each other, they didn't feel embarrass about Anita taking over the role in the movie of Sammi, they are happy to speak to each other. Today is Sammi's new movie "Married to a rich person" open shooting ceremony, Richie Ren and Candy Lo also attended. Also, see the picture? Sammi got a new hair style, do you like it?

Sammi went to her friend's wedding yesterday, it was Cheung shu tak and Lau mei guen's wedding. Sammi know Cheung shu tak when she was in her old company, Capital Artists, they worked together before. Sammi was one of the most attractive guest, because the reporters keep running after Sammi to ask her about Nicholas Tse and her rumors. But Sammi walked with her head down and said she will be late. The reporters trace her to the hotel's door, Sammi cover her mouth and can't stop laughing, then she hide behind the pole and play hide and seek with the reporters. The reporters ask her why she is laughing, Sammi said she think they (reporters) are very funny. Also, when reporters ask her did she want to marry, Sammi didn't answer, she just smiled and walk inside to the hotel.

Sammi did not get nominate into this year's Golden Horse Award which held in Taiwan. But Andy Lau nominate as the best actor in the movie "Love on a Diet". This year's best actress nominees include: Anita Mui, Tae Hai Lo, Sylvia Cheung, and Shu Qi.

In the RTHK's 24th Top Ten Chinese Song Award Ceremony press conference, they announced Sammi nominated as one of the highest broadcast rate female singer and Sammi's song "Forever Beauty" nominated as the highest broadcast rate song. Sammi didn't attend the press conference. In the conference, Andy Hui and Nicholas Tse was talking to each other the whole time, their relationship didn't get affect by the rumors.

Sammi's dad went back home yesterday. The reporters are waiting in the hospital almost a half day, they didn't realize Sammi's dad went home already, until the nurse told them. They assume Sammi bring his dad to go thought a secret way to leave. Also, Nicholas Tse finally show up in a press conference to announce that the rumors about Sammi involve in his love relationship is not true. He said he and Sammi are just friends, they never going out before and they never will. He said please don't try to make up rumors to affect he and his girlfriend's relationship. He told people not to buy those magazines anymore, because all they wrote about is nonsense rumors that are really ridiculous.

Sammi seems to have a very good mood. Her dad's condition is getting a lot better now and soon he can go back home. Sammi put little make up on yesterday when she come to the hospital and she is willing to let the reporters to take pictures. When her dad is sleeping, Sammi and her sister went to buy snacks for themselves. Sammi's manager said next week Sammi will resume her work. She will take pictures for the new albums. Also, Sammi will participate in the annually TVB charity show.  

There is a magazine spreading rumors about Sammi is the 3rd person involve with Nicholas and Faye's love relationship. (What a ridiculous rumor is this? I advice fans don't believe it) According to the magazine, they wrote the following: before Nicholas and Faye were going out, Sammi already in love with Nicholas and they both maintain intimate relations. They always play in the band room overnight and Faye pretended she don't know. Andy Hui already know Sammi in love with Nicholas. He don't want to give up the 10 years relationship, so he didn't say anything. But at last, he can't tolerate anymore and he broke up with Sammi. When Sammi saw the magazine from the reporter's hand. She smile said, What? No, what a big trouble? This is nonsense, she will not reply to this. She said she will not eat this big dead cat (means she is not going to admit things that are not true and had no evidence) The reporters also asked Andy Hui about the rumors. He laugh said, say I already know? what a lie? If he say Yes then he is not Andy Hui, which magazine wrote this? Then he didn't say anything else and quickly leaves.

In Hong Kong right now, there are almost 200 singers, it is very competitive. They seems to be making a lot of money, because of their albums and concerts. But in today's poor economic in the world, there are only 5 singers that actually make money. They are Sammi, Kelly Chen, Joey Yung, Eason Chan and Jay Chow. The 4 Kings (Jacky, Leon, Aaron and Andy) are not even on the list. Sammi make a lot of money from her album selling, concerts, movies and commercials. Sammi still going to the hospital everyday to see her dad. Sammi's dad seems to gain his good health back again. He is very friendly and he waved to the reporters and thanks them for concerning about him. Sammi is in a good mood too, but she didn't talk much.

October 2001

When Sammi went to the hospital yesterday, 
she is not covering her face anymore.

Yesterday around 1 O'clock, Sammi and her assistant went to the hospital. Sammi wears a black coat and a red sun glass. Sammi is still covering her face with a handkerchief. After Sammi arrived for few minutes, Sammi's dad sitting in a wheel chair came out from the room and went downstairs for a body check. Sammi's dad looks very energetic and he waved to the reporters. A half hour passed, Sammi walk with her dad whose in a wheel chair back to the room. Sammi walk very fast to the room, but she went to a wrong direction. Sammi almost bump into a wall, she was laughing and feel very embarrassing. When Sammi push the wheel chair, she was making a beep sounds which is telling the reporters to move away and let her push the wheel chair to the room. 

Sammi as usual, she went to the hospital to take care her dad. Sammi is always wearing the glass and covering her face with a scarf. She refuse to take it off to reveal her look. Andy Hui went to visit Sammi's dad, he told the reporters to be quiet and he didn't answer any questions. He only said Sammi's dad is fine and his condition is better now, then he quickly leave.

Sammi take her dad back to Hong Kong. Around 1 p.m. at the afternoon, Sammi's mom and her sisters come out from the airport, but didn't see Sammi. According to the reporters, Sammi was with her dad, they go through a secret tunnel to leave the airport and go straight to the hospital. Around 5:45 p.m., Sammi and her assistant come out from the hospital room. Sammi had a hat on, wear a glass and have a scarf to cover her face. When asked why she covering her face with the scarf? She said she don't have make up on and she didn't sleep for the whole day, she is very tire. Sammi quickly leave with her assistant avoiding the reporters to catch up. Around 7 p.m., two assistants come to the hospital. One of the assistant said Sammi take care her dad about 20 hours, the whole day didn't sleep, that's why she went back home to sleep. Also, Sammi and her 3 sisters will alternate to come to the hospital to take care her dad.

Today, Sammi go to the hospital to take care her dad. Sammi didn't look too healthy. She seems to have a flu, since she is always sneezing and her eyes are red. She might have allergy, but one thing for sure is Sammi didn't have enough time to rest. Sammi's dad was complaining it is too quiet and boring in the hospital. So Sammi's assistant find a express delivery company to mail all Sammi's CDs to Beijing for her dad to hear it.

Yesterday, as same as every morning, Sammi went to the hospital to take care her dad. She stop by for the reporters' interview. She said her family are much important than money. Even she is doing her concert, she can give it up, she doesn't care she need to pay for the restitutions. Sammi said her dad's condition is turning good, she wanted to take him back to Hong Kong in this couple of days. Sammi described to the reporters of what happen that day when she heard her dad had a stroke. Sammi said when she is in her way to Taiwan to shoot the commercial, she already receive a phone call about her dad's news. At that moment she was horrify and scare. She really don't want to go to Taiwan, but she can't, everything is already set. But lucky it only takes one day. After she shoot the half of the commercial, she wanted to leave, because she is too worry. But at last, she quickly finish shooting it, she immediately flew to Beijing, she was very very panic at that time. Sammi worried about 48 hours. Sammi sighed said, after her dad's stroke, she didn't look good. She had black eyes and she don't want her fans to see her face. The reporters said when they shake hands with Sammi's dad yesterday, they realize his hands are very long and smooth. Sammi smiled and said, yeah, when she hold his hand, he even said Sammi's hand is rough now. Sammi was take caring him everyday, that's why she had no time to put hand creams or lotions.

Sammi, her mom and all her sisters are still going to the hospital every morning and stay until midnight. Sammi is a very pious daughter. Yesterday around 1:30 p.m.,  Sammi's dad needs to go up to another floor to get a body check, so Sammi went with him. He was lying on the bed and he is wearing a hat. When Sammi saw the reporters are taking pictures, she borrow the nurse's clip board to cover her dad's face. She don't want her dad's sick look reveal in the public. But Sammi's dad is very kind, he smile at the reporters. Sammi saw her dad smile, she put down the clip board. Her dad said to the reporter that he is fine, all his daughters had coming to take care of him.  After Sammi heard what he says, her eyes turn red and she tell her dad don't talk anymore, take a rest. But her dad insisted, he shake hands with the reporters and thanks them for concerning about him. After the check up, Sammi had a interview. She said her dad's report came out, it shows his condition is turning good and he is stable now. She said this hospital is very good, because they have complete facilities. When asked about when will she be back to Hong Kong, she said she don't know yet, because she needs to discuss with her family.

Sammi's dad had a stoke yesterday while he is in the way of going to a convention in Beijing. He is staying in the hospital of Beijing right now. Yesterday, Sammi came back early to Hong Kong from Taiwan. Sammi was in Taiwan shooting her SK-II commercial, but after hearing her dad had a stroke. Sammi is very worry. She flew to Beijing immediately to see her dad. While Sammi is in Beijing, she stay the whole night in the hospital to take care her dad, this shows Sammi is piety. Her dad's condition is fine right now, the hospital start giving him special meals. But he cannot get off the bed to walk yet and he talk very slow. Sammi leave the hospital around 8:00 a.m., she looked very tire and had no make-up on. When the reporters asked how's her dad, Sammi said, he's fine and thanks them for concerning. The reporters wish her dad get well soon, Sammi's eyes immediately turns red, it seems like she wanted to cry. The reporters tell Sammi to be strong, Sammi nodded her head and she leave. Sammi probably is going to the hotel to take a shower and change her clothes. Sammi went back to the hospital around 9:00 a.m. Sammi's manager said, Sammi will not be back to Hong Kong in these couple of days, because she is watching her dad. So Sammi's new Cantonese album will be affected. Andy Hui is concerning about Sammi's dad too, he wish Sammi's dad feel better soon, because her dad is a very nice and kind man. Andy Lau who came back to Hong Kong and knowing Sammi's dad had a stroke from the reporters. He said he will try to call and comfort Sammi.

The 25th "Hong Kong Top 10 Best Dress People" Award ceremony will be held on October 23rd. Sammi is one of the winner. But only people who attend the ceremony gets the award. Sammi is still sick right now, so no one know will she attend the ceremony or not.

At the third quarter of Jade Solid Gold Presentation, Sammi win an award "The Best Internet Song" for the song "Forever Beauty", but Sammi didn't get the top 12 song award. There are rumors says Sammi and TVB's relationship are not good, that's why TVB didn't give the top 12 song award to Sammi. Instead, Gigi Leung, which is the same company as Sammi (Warner Music) Gigi get the top 12 song award.
